Pat (Robin's mother) likes to touch the fruit to see if it's rotten. This fruit stand vendor in Venice doesn't like for you to touch the fruit because she knows damn well its rotten. Strangely enough, she wasn't concerned at all about the filthy pigeons walking all over the produce. Oh well, what do you expect for 50,000 lira?
