Pueblo Bonito is the largest site in Chaco Canyon. This is just one corner of the site as seen from the top of the mesa cliff behind the ruins. The Anasazi lived here from 900 to 1300 A.D. This complex was five stories tall in some places. The walls get progressively thinner as the structure gets higher, to keep the weight of the wall from causing a collapse. I wonder how many walls collapsed before they figured that one out.
