Prince Floyd of Juarez on Avon

Here, the artist makes a strong statement about the divinity of man and his fall from grace. The artist seems to be saying, "the princes around here are ugly." We can only speculate as to why the prince points in the direction of the setting sun, or what the four precious stones in the scabbard mean. Or is he reaching for the dagger with his left hand, which would make him left-handed, an obvious metaphor for Billy the Kid.

These old paintings are really interesting when you know what to look for.
