title: Friends in Old Santa Fe

The artist cleverly uses black to symbolize the darker, sinister side of friendship and skillfully portrays the two main characters with slightly bent postures, a visual reference to the tortured, twisted conflict boiling just beneath the surface. Just about every metaphysical, symbolic metaphor that can be imagined is here. Here a metaphor, there a metaphor, everywhere a quack-quack. Beyond that, the work speaks for itself.
